How DogHIB Started
It started with a simple question: “Why is it so hard to find straightforward, honest advice for my dog?”
My name is Sanjay Dhakal, and like you, I’m a dog owner who just wants the best for my furry friend. But when I started looking for health advice, training tips, and product recommendations online, I ran into the same problem over and over again:
- Websites that recommended products they’d never actually used
- Advice that was outdated or just plain wrong
- Content written by people who’d never owned a dog
- Information that was either too technical or too generic to be useful
So in 2022, I decided to create something different.
DogHib was born from frustration — frustration with misleading information, pushy sales tactics, and websites that clearly put profit over dogs’ wellbeing.
What We Actually Do
At DogHib, we’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We focus on three things:

We write about what we actually know and experience. If we haven’t tried something, we tell you.

Dog care evolves. We regularly review and update our content to keep it current and accurate.

We’re not veterinarians. If your dog is sick or injured, please see a real vet. Our content is educational, not medical advice.
We’re not perfect. We make mistakes. When we do, we correct them and let you know.
We’re not a faceless corporation. We’re real dog owners who care about your dog as much as our own.
We’re not pushing products. We only recommend what we’d actually use with our own dogs.

I’ve been a dog owner for over a decade and have learned most of what I know through trial, error, and countless hours of research. I started writing about dog care because I wanted to save other owners from the same mistakes I made.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me walking my dogs, trying new dog-friendly hiking trails, or testing out new gear.
